Clear terms for governed AI.
These terms govern use of the Policate service, dashboard, and binary. Last updated July 15, 2026.
Using Policate
These terms are between the customer and the Policate contracting entity identified on the applicable order, checkout, or invoice. You must be authorized to create or join a workspace and to connect any provider, repository, ticketing, or knowledge system. Workspace owners are responsible for their users, configuration, and legal basis for processing data. You may not use Policate to violate law, compromise systems, evade provider restrictions, or interfere with the service.
Gateway and Direct modes
Gateway mode sends governed model traffic through Policate. Direct mode applies managed configuration in the Policate binary while inference travels to the selected provider. Availability, latency, output, and provider terms can differ by mode. Customers must review their policies, provider permissions, and data-residency requirements before production use.
Trials, subscriptions, and active seats
New Team workspaces receive one calendar month free for up to 10 total users. After the trial, Team is billed at $20 per active user per month unless an order states otherwise. Provider usage is customer-paid and has no Policate markup for the Team plan. Taxes may apply. Subscription changes and invoices are managed through the billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period unless required otherwise by law.
Customer data and credentials
Customers retain their rights in prompts, responses, configurations, and connected data. You grant Policate the limited rights required to operate, secure, and support the service. Do not provide credentials you are not authorized to use. You are responsible for rotating exposed credentials and for selecting retention, logging, and routing controls appropriate to your data.
Software and intellectual property
Policate and its licensors retain rights in the service, dashboard, binary, documentation, and branding. Open-source components remain governed by their own licenses. Subject to these terms and payment, we grant your users a limited, non-transferable right to use Policate for the workspace.
Availability and changes
We work to keep the service secure and available, but maintenance, providers, networks, previews, and force-majeure events can cause interruption. Preview or beta features may change or be withdrawn. We may update the service and these terms; material changes will be communicated when required.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend access for security risk, unlawful use, material breach, or overdue payment. Workspace owners may cancel through the billing portal. On termination, access ends and data is handled under the Privacy Policy and applicable order terms. Provisions that by nature should survive will continue.
Disclaimers and liability
AI output may be incomplete or incorrect and must be reviewed for its intended use. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Policate is provided without implied warranties and neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss. Policate’s aggregate liability is limited to fees paid for the service in the 12 months before the event, except where a limitation is prohibited by law or an enterprise order expressly provides otherwise.
Contact
Questions about these terms, enterprise orders, or billing can be submitted through the Policate Help Center. These terms are governed by the laws of Spain, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless applicable law or a signed order requires otherwise.
